How a project moves from a conversation to a running product
The steps below are the full version, used for products and larger systems. Smaller projects go through the same logic in fewer, shorter steps.
- 1Step 1
First conversation
We talk about the business goal, the people involved and what success would look like. No slides, no pitch.
- 2Step 2
Problem definition and scope
What is in, what is out, what exists already and what the real constraints are. Written down, so we agree on the same thing.
- 3Step 3
Proposed solution and technical direction
The architecture, the stack, the integrations and the risks, explained in plain language with the reasoning behind each choice.
- 4Step 4
Prioritization and MVP planning
The smallest version that proves value, and a realistic path from there. Nice-to-haves wait their turn.
- 5Step 5
Design and development
Short cycles with working software you can see and try, not status reports. Feedback goes straight back into the build.
- 6Step 6
Testing and launch
Automated tests, staging environments, data migration when needed, and a launch plan that does not depend on luck.
- 7Step 7
Monitoring, support and improvement
Logging, alerts and performance tracking from day one, then continued development based on how people actually use the product.
The process adapts to the size and maturity of each project. A two-week automation does not get a seven-step ceremony; a product that will run for years does get proper planning.
